I was contacted by my agent to attend an event to experience a day retreat with Urban Remedy. Urban Remedy is a collaborative lifestyle brand between Neka Pasquale and Cindy Crawford. I was told that I would get the chance to meet Cindy and enjoy some healthy food, exercise, and green juice. That sounded right up my alley, so I immediately agreed to attend.
I arrived at an estate in Topanga Canyon, close to Malibu. When I first walked in, I was offered a delicious cinnamon coconut bowl, and mint cacao protein shake. These are a just few of the recipes in the Urban Remedy Book. They were both AMAZING!!
I was offered a journal, and a seat next to a beautiful fire place. Moments later, Cindy Crawford entered. At this point, there were only about 5 of us (including Cindy) in the room. She received the same shake and bowl as us, and sat right down with everyone else in the room. This was THE Cindy Crawford, and her humble demeanor in that moment made her even more captivating. We all started chatting as women tend to do.. She explained her involvement with Urban Remedy, and why she loves it so much. “I think the biggest challenge to eating well is having great tasting and healthy food options readily available so you always have a good choice at your fingertips. Urban Remedy keeps me prepared for whatever my day or week has in store. We created Cindy Crawford Essentials based on how I utilize Urban Remedy on a weekly basis, but the plan is designed to be flexible enough to work with just about anyone’s lifestyle,” said Cindy Crawford.
Moments Later, we were all ushered into another room to begin our Yoga class. This was only the second time I had ever taken yoga; the first being with Michelle Phan. I normally do Pilates, so I was a bit intimidated. I never realized how good stretching could feel. I felt taller and super relaxed after the workout, yet I experience a deep post workout sore/burn the next day. It was pretty intense, and had me craving more.
After Yoga, it was time for lunch. We all gathered around the table to enjoy our fresh juices, and organic vegan meal. All the recipes are available in the Urban Remedy cook book, and some are available for purchase on the website. Again, everything was impeccable tasting. I barely noticed it was even “healthy”, it was THAT good.
We shared lunch with Cindy. She asked us about our lives, and she shared stories about her home life, her business, travels, friends, and so much more. It was really like chatting with a friend.
After lunch, I had a little acupuncture. It was my very first time experiencing that. It’s a strange sensation, but definitely not painful in my opinion. After acupuncture, I went upstairs to experience a “detox foot bath.” There were two seats upstairs. Shortly after I started my treatment, Cindy came up and sat next to me to get her treatment done also. We chatted about how I was homeschooled as a teenager, and how her kids are also being homeschooled. It was really relaxing and pleasant.
This foot bath however, was kinda scary. It started off clear, but as you kept your feet in longer, it kept turning darker and darker. They told me it had something to do with toxins, but I REALLY hope those aren’t toxins from inside of me.. ahaha
As the day continued, it became truly evident to me why Cindy Crawford is so successful. She is so clearly comfortable in her own skin. This reflects in her behavior towards her environment. She is a real woman. Stunning both inside and out. Captivating both inside and out, and Urban Remedy is how she lives her life. It’s a part of her daily routine. She didn’t have to be there, she wanted to. I felt so blessed to spend the day with her and the other amazing woman who attended the event. Every woman there was inspiring, and I felt honored to be a part.
