Stop Picking Out Flaws In Yourself: I like to say “CheckInTheMirror”, but don’t stare at it! We all have flaws and imperfections. When you pick yourself apart, you are telling yourself and God that you are not happy with how you were made. This breeds discontentment, and ultimately, a fickle mood that depends completely on how you look each day.
Now, you don’t want to notice yourself being un-healthy, and be content with that. You can notice you have flaws, and if they bother you enough (over time), you can seriously consider fixing them (in a healthy way). Just walk out of your house everyday with your head held high, knowing that you have done everything you can to look your very best.
Stop Picking Out Flaws In Others: We’ve all done it; looked at the girl on the TV screen and picked out her flaws to make ourselves feel better. “Her nose is slightly crooked,” “She’s too skinny” “She’s too fat,” the list goes on and on. If you want to feel confident about yourself, it is essential that you DO NOT pick out the flaws in others.
Stop The Gossip: Along with not picking out the flaws in others in your head, most definitely do not speak negatively about people behind their back. I find it sad when people constantly talk about others, have nothing better to talk about. It may make you feel better in the moment, but over time, it makes you dis-content with your life, and un-happy. Plus, do you want people saying you could be prettier, skinnier or better behind YOUR back? Or even beyond that, do you want people talking about how annoying YOU are behind your back? ask yourself that before you plan to gossip!
=) Warning: These behaviors are TOXIC and rob you of your joy and happiness! =) Let’s support each other, and lift each other up!! Girls HAVE to stick together! =)
