Diffusing Essential Oils

January 2, 2015

I recently went to my sister-in-laws house, and I was pleasantly greeted with a wonderful lavender smell. I’m a HUGE candle lover and incense burner, but I loved that this option seemed significantly healthier for me and my family. I’m  SUPER new to the whole concept, so I really have a ton of research to do.

I purchased the Stadler Form essential oil diffuser online. I chose this diffuser because I loved that it could last up to 24hrs, and I also liked the sleek and compact design. It’s extremely easy to use. I just add water, a few drops of lavender and euclyptus essential oil, and it fills the air with a cool mist and wonderful smell.

I’ve been using the Aura Cacia essential oils from WholeFoods for my home, but I’m really interested in trying various blends specified for health & wellness.  If you have any tips for me in regards to essential oils, PLEASE leave your thoughts in the comments below.

until next time,

Rachel xo

That diffuser is beautiful! I really like the Lavender from Young Living & the Breathe/On Guard from DoTerra. I also purchase the Aura Cacia brand frequently. I’m interested to see whatever one else will comment/recommend.

Doterra/young living is much higher quality. personally I purchased whole foods brands before and was appalled to find out what was actually in them that they weren’t advertising

How exciting! For my birthday this past May, my husband bought me a kit from Doterra! I’ve been hooked ever since and always wanting to learn more. We welcomed our first baby in June, and I’m loving using these natural oils on my baby instead of medicine. I have the same diffuser too! Enjoy!

The Young Living Essential Oils are the purest oils made. Please check out their website. I will give your website to my daughter who can explain more about the oils and the difference between all the different oils available on the market.

I use Young Living and if you love Lavander, they have a special one that’s called St.Marie’s Lavander. Have a look at their site, their oils are top notch, I use them on my 3 year old too. I just recently signed up to be a member (you get 24%) off future orders because I was spending so much buying their oils retail lol.

I’ve never heard of that! I’m also a huge candle lover and that would be a nice, healthy alternative .Thanks for the inspiration.. 🙂

Do Terra oils are taken from the places in the world where they grow the best. They are the best of the best.

As you can see from the responses on Instagram, people are very passionate about their oils. Once they are a part of your life, you want to share what you have discovered with others. I suggest you do your own research, speak with people who are very informed and try a few samples.

I am using doTERRA essential oils. I’m hooked, so I signed up to purchase the essential oils at wholesale price. Rachel, I have an extra book–Modern Essentials-A Contemporary guide to the Therapeutic Use of Essential Oils. I can send one to you. Regards.

My mom actually got really into essential oils about a year ago, and turned me on to them as well. I tend to be a bit of a skeptic at times, so I was a bit hesitant at first, but have really been noticing some amazing improvements health-wise from some of the different oils I use. I’ve been using Young Living oils and love them, but I know Doterra is good too. Specifically I drink lemon, grapefruit, and peppermint in my water every day as a detoxifying treatment and for weight management, the blend “stress away” has no joke changed my life at work and makes me feel so much calmer and like I can manage things much better, and “thieves” is AMAZING for preventing illness. I haven’t gotten sick once since using it, and avoided the massive flu outbreak at my work! As you can tell, I’m a bit of a nerd about oils now. 😉 I’d love to hear if you start to experiment with them for health benefits and try out some blends! P.S. OBSESSING over your closet organization video right now…totally stealing some of your tips!! xo

Essential oils are really helpful for everyone. Diffusing the oils varies: diffusing a single oil or diffusing the mix of oils. Essential oils can be used for not only adults but also babies and not only for people but also pets. It’s wonderful when having essential oils in the room and I also love Lavender by the way 🙂
