Family Photos and Frames

August 31, 2015

A few weeks ago Byron and I did a photoshoot in Malibu for new banners and head shots. It was so beautiful, we knew we would have to bring Oliver back for a few family photos. Sure enough we went back, had a beautiful evening, and were able to capture some fun moments that I knew I wanted to frame and remember for always!

We wanted frames that had that beachy, rustic, weathered look that we love! I always have luck finding frames at Home Goods or Target—and that’s where we got these. Such a BARGAIN!

I had my photos printed at my local Kinkos and just went to town on getting them framed and hung.

This frame was definitely my fave! It reminds me of weathered railroad tracks. Something I’d expect to see at Restoration Hardware, but for a fraction of the price.

I just removed the backs of the frames…

…found a photo that fit…

(Oliver gave me his honest opinion =)

…taped the photo in so it wouldn’t move around…

…fastened the back…

…and that was it! Super easy wall art/memories (=

I love the way these all turned out! All I had left to do was hang them.

I started by finding the height I wanted the frame, and then used a tape measure to find the exact center of the wall I was hanging the picture on.

Little mark with a pencil…

…and I was good to hammer in some nails.

I particularly liked these frame hangers.  They came in all different sizes and even had a little number on them to indicate the max weight capacity.

Perfect for safely and securely hanging heavy frames like this one!

A quick check of the level…

…and the frame was up, ready, and secure!

I love having these memories hanging up all over our home.

It’s like the finishing touch to making your home truly yours.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

I love the tarte camera, lights mascara :). It’s the best mascaras I own. Now for facial products I been using the Estée Lauder perfectly clean foam cleanser and it’s by far one of the best products, I don’t have a tool to use so it’s hard for me to find facial products that clean well.

The wooden frame looks great against the white wall and the greens.

I LOVE the pictures and the frame. I esp. love the pic where you and Byron is laughing and Oliver is running around. I think it’s time for me, my hubs and my three kids to have a family photo session. 🙂

Can you do a tour of Oliver’s room? I would like to see how you organize his closet.

Oh my goodness these frames are stunning! They look lovely on your white walls, such good finds Rachel! Or maybe it’s just your super good looking family that make the frames look so good 😉
