I’ve been looking into grocery delivery for a while now.
Ever since I first heard of Amazon Fresh, my ears were immediately perked to the idea.
Grocery shopping has never been my favorite task. I know some people quite like it, but to me it’s always been a bit overwhelming.
I placed my very first Amazon Fresh order the other day. I picked everything out the night before, and it was on my door step the morning. I ordered a few things I’ve been meaning to pick up– like hair and nail vitamins, bagels, ect. I also got ingredients for dinner that night (fresh salmon, broccoli), and some fresh pressed green juice. Everything came in recyclable bags (that have styrofoam coolers) so everything was FRESH (i.e. Amazon Fresh) =)
Overall, I think the convenience is awesome!
I imagine that as I continue with Amazon Fresh I will start to get a real feel for what is appropriate to order, and what I need to just go pick up myself from the store.
I still want to try it out a few more times before I give a final consensus, but I must admit, it’s a wonderful convenience.
If any of you have tried it, I’d love to know what your experience has been..
The next delivery service I signed up for was a crate of fresh organic produce that comes to my door once a week. It’s from a local organic California farm (20 min away) called Abundant Harvest Organics. I love that it supports local framers, and that it’s organic. I also plan to make fresh baby food with the in-season fruit and veggies that I’m given each week. Stay tuned for that ;0)
I buy flowers once or twice a week from my grocery store. This past week I bought some tangerine roses, and they were just such a joy to see everyday.
I know it would be significantly cheaper to go down-town to the flower mart for my flowers, but it’s a bit of a drive for me. I’ve been considering ordering flowers from TheBouqs.com. I actually heard about this flower delivery service from a twitter follower of mine. It’s affordable, but you have to order ahead of time. The flowers come without a vase, so the price point is closer to what I would spend at the grocery store. I plan to try this soon. I will keep you posted.
Another delivery I’m interested in trying is Pressed Juicery.
I tried this juice the other day, and it’s amazing!
This is purely a veggie juice, so it’s not sweet at all. It’s extremely refreshing.
I’ve never done a juice fast, and I’m not so much interested in that, however I would love to have it delivered fresh to have first thing in the morning with my breakfast. Amazon Fresh delivers a different green juice brand (BluePrint), but I’ve heard this brand (Pressed Juicery) is the best.
Eventually, if I consistently drink juice, it may be cheaper if I purchase a juice press and do it myself. That’s quite a commitment though, and a little messy. We’ll see..
Anyone tried this??
I’ve been having Honest products delivered to my house ever since I first got pregnant. I’ve been so happy with the products. I order the laundry detergent, dishwashing gel, multi-purpose cleaner (for windows and granite), hand soap and hand sanitizer spray. I use these products daily. I’m obsessed.. I would DEFINITELY recommend their cleaning products. I wasn’t a huge fan of the diapers and wipes.. The wipes sorta irritated my son, and the 365 diapers are a bit softer (in my opinion), so I just use those. I do love the cleaning products though. =)
If you’ve tried ANY of these delivery services, PLEASE let me know what you’ve liked and not liked.. =) Thanks for reading!
