Foodie Vibes: Juicy Ladies

February 1, 2018

Hey ya’ll!
Hope you’re in the mood for a rave…because I think I found my new favorite spot to eat! Juicy Ladies in Woodland Hills, with a second location opening soon in the Palisades, is beyond delicious! A full menu of healthy takes on everyday favorites with a killer smoothie bar!

It’s a hole in the wall spot for sure and from the outside you may not expect much…

…but when I opened the doors, I surprisingly found the decor and setup to be really vibie! Tons of hanging plants, beautiful patterns on the walls and textiles, and natural light made this a bright and open space and great spot to grab breakfast or lunch. Cheyne I dropped in around brunch time for a meeting out that way.

The first thing I ordered and my first foodie rave was the Greens Smoothie. HOLY MOLY! Probably the best greens smoothie I’ve ever had! Typically I find smoothies are either so earthy they taste like dirt or overly sweet. This was not the case. The Green Smoothie was packed full of fresh flavor with just a subtle hint of sweetness to keep things interesting, but not at all overpowering. Cheyne tried the Vanilla Almond Smoothie and was pretty impressed as well. Certainly not cheap, these smoothies, but really well put together. We were both super pleased.

Then came the entrees and I have to be honest…these price tags too were a bit of a turn-off.  Like many healthier spots that are becoming more popular, if every dish was just taken down a few dollars I think the accessibility would really encourage more people to eat clean, healthy, and most importantly DELICIOUS guilt-free food. That said, when the entrees came I had no complaints.

We started off with an Avacado Egg Sandwich (vegan style). Instead of eggs, which it normally comes topped with, we swapped it out for their vegan scramble. Sandwich that in between two pieces of toasted sprouted wheat bread (gluten-free is available) and top it off with avocado, peppercinis, micro greens, and a tangy vegan aioli! Simply WOW. Zesty, fresh, filling, flavor for days! So YUMMY.

The last thing we tried, that I’ve literally been dreaming of ever since—the Healthy Belly Bowl. I ordered this one as a recommendation and now all I can think about is how I’m going to make this at home!

A guilt-free combo of spinach, kale, quinoa sauteed in garlic, roasted yams, sauerkraut, avocado, nori, roasted almonds,  sprouts, and pumpkin seeds. Top that all off with a zesty green tahini sauce and I was one gloriously happy customer! Like everything I tried there, PACKED WITH FLAVOR! Dreamy flavor that I can’t get out of my head! That good. Only recommendation, the next time I ordered this I asked them to go light on the garlic and found that to be a little less offensive when going home to my hubby =) But honestly, this one hit a home run!

Hope you’re enjoying these foodie vibe posts! I strongly recomend giving Juicy Ladies a try and if you have restaraunt suggestions, SEND THEM MY WAY!
