Homemade Playdough

Making playdough from scratch is so easy, completely non-toxic, and edible! Perfect DIY for the kids.

Start by adding 1 tbsp of olive oil to  2/3 cups of water and bring to a boil.

In a separate bowl, add 1 cup of flour…

…1/4 cup of salt…

…1 cool aid packet (this is your color)…

…and pour the heated liquid over top.

Mix well with a spoon first.  Once the mixture is cool enough to handle, knead the ingredients until fully combined.

Repeat steps to make additional colors and ENJOY! This is so fun and simple.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • ¼ Cup Salt
  • 1 Packet Kool-Aid
  • ⅔ Cup Water
  • 1 Tbsp Oil

Directions:

  1. Mix the flour, the salt, and the Kool-Aid together.
  2. Boil the water.
  3. Add the oil to the water.
  4. Pour a portion of the water into the dry ingredients and mix. Keep adding water and work the dough until the color is uniform and feels like playdough.
