My Current Beauty Routine

January 25, 2018

Hey guys!

I wanted to share my current beauty routine. I’ve definitely tried my fair share of products, but I’m always switching it up and trying to find the best combo.

Current Shower Essentials

Instead of using drugstore brands, I’ve been searching for more natural options. Right now I’m really liking the Jason Shampoo with Tea Tree Oil and the Coconut Miracle Oil Conditioner.  Tea Tree oil products are a natural alternative to scalp care that I love. The coconut conditioner smells like a creamy vanilla coconut. I love that smell in my hair all year long. Much prefer a vanilla coconut scent as opposed to a more tropical, pineapple- coconut scent.

The body wash I’ve been using is one of the several CBD based products that I’ve been experimenting with for body pain and aches. Instead of reaching for an over the counter option, I’m loving what CBD has to offer. I’m no longer breastfeeding, so right now I use CBD  for body aches and pains. The Soaked CBD Body Gel is great! It makes for a really great relaxing shower at the end of the day. On days when I don’t use this, I use a soap bar. If you haven’t tried CBD products before, it’s important to know what you’re getting and what specifically it’s purpose is. You can find CBD based products that don’t contain THC. THC being the psychoactive element in cannabis, and CBD being a simple pain reliever that can be very soothing to sore muscles. Plus, I love that it’s natural. A friend of mine sent me several of the CBD products she makes, and they are fantastic. She also has amazing CBD bath bombs. ☺️

Bodywise I’ve been sticking with the Dermadoctor Body Peel Wipes and they’ve become my go-to! They’re a vitamin C based peel that rejuvenates the skin, making it bright and glowy. Big fan of Vitamin C for radiant skin.  You notice the difference immediately. After the peel, I follow it up with the Eccobella Vitamin E Body Lotion. It has the warmest vanilla fragrance and it really is quite hydrating. I also love an instant tanner. I’ve been liking the Tantalizer by Lorac for years, although I do think they’ve changed their formula over the years. I originally used their mousse, which also contained caffeine for firm legs. I LOOOVED that stuff. This version does transfer a bit to clothes if you use alot. I always do a quick swipe with a towel before putting on clothes. I love that it gives my skin a healthy glow, with a very subtle shimmer. Instant sexy legs!!

Facewise I’ve been sticking with Dermadoctor, because well…they’re just good! These Kakadu C peels are a less abrasive version of the body peel, but for your face. Again, I urge you, TRY VITAMIN C! It works, people. Seriously.

My last go to of the year is the Revenge Anti-Aging Serum.  I love it because this contains hyaluronic acid, which draws moisture from the air and immensely hydrates the skin! It pairs perfectly with a vitamin C peel—which brightens, lightens, and tightens the skin.

Hope you enjoyed reading my 2018 skincare faves! More reviews to come throughout the year.
