Tea Obsession

March 12, 2018

Hey Guys,
It’s no secret that I’m a HUGE tea enthusiast! I’ve recently been delving into the coffee pool, but tea has been my jam since childhood. We’re talking 11 years old, sitting down with a cup of tea, and watching Titanic. haha

Tea is also a lifesaver for your throat as a singer. It’s a must have. Needless to say, I have a tea for every occasion.

Honey lavender is a great blend for that time of the month.  If I have a little loose red raspberry leaf, I’ll throw that into an infuser and make this blend even more potent and effective. Very soothing and a great anti-inflammatory for relieving cramps.

Tazo makes a pretty good vanilla chai if you like your tea on the toasty-sweet side.  I’m definitely a sucker for anything chai. I even sell two loose chai teas in my shop Pacific Thyme, and Tazo chai can be found at most stores.

Other brands you’ll find in my tea-stash are Celestial, Yogi, Numi, etc…Big fan of the Trader Joe’s Jasmine Green, but I was actually out this week… also loving their Winter Wake Me Up. (; Trader Joe’s to the rescue once again!

Juniper Ridge is a really great choice that I’ve been enjoying! Very earthy flavors that bring the outdoors into a cup. Also, love the sustainability and fair trade factors that this particular brand stands behind. Definitely bringing these back into Pacific Thyme when we get closer to winter! They make a Douglas Fir that is SO YUMMY!

For all my loose tea enthusiasts, I’ve been playing around with a bunch of different blends! I love the freedom that comes with making loose tea blends. This particular brand, Plum Deluxe, has a fun tea subscription which is great for keeping the selection fresh and fun.

I’ve been playing with a lot of blends by Luna Tea Company in the shop and the reaction we’ve received has been spectacular! We literally can’t keep them in stock and love supporting this maker! Her descriptions of each tea are fantastically hilarious and make a great read!

If you haven’t tried this brand yet, we currently have 10 flavors at PacificThyme.com and would love to hear your feedback on what you think about them! We want to make sure you love them as much as we do.  So far people have been raving over the Green Queen and can barely keep it in stock!

The only thing to remember with loose tea is you’ll need an infuser or loose tea bags.  If going the tea bag route, I prefer unbleached and bio-degradable! Just another way to mix up my compost and get one step closer to living a greener life.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

XO,
Rachel
