That Girl From The 90’s

September 18, 2013
I was born in 1987, but the majority of the memorable part of my childhood was spent in the 90’s. I lived in Northridge during the 1994 Northridge earthquake, I was obsessed with Polly Pockets, and I was into every popular 90’s girl toy there was. I was definitely that girl from the 90’s. haha Here are a few of my favorite GIRLY 90’s memories.. Remember any of these???
Easy Bake Oven
I LOVED this thing, although once I ran out of the ingredients, I never seemed to buy the refills. lol

Remember the UPROAR over these little suckers? The lines, the wait lists. This was ONE hot item, next to “tickle me elmo.” I had one, and the little nano pets also. =)

Cover Girl makeup!
I may go for the higher end stuff nowadays, but back then, CoverGirl was the coolest thing you could get your hands on!!!

Never owned it, but I always wanted to go to my friends house to play it.. I mostly cared about the cool credit cards and faux credit card machine.. eeekkk A peek into the future maybe?? lol J/K

Who didn’t love these girls?! I even remember the Spice Girl lollipops from the limited too. Posh was ALWAYS my fave, and still is to this day!!
Baby Alive!!!
I didn’t care much for Barbies, I was ALL about the babies!! I remember baby alive, and that cherry food that actually smelled of faux plastic cherries. lol
Baby So Real.
The baby that moved and cried like a REAL baby!! I was so excited when I finally got this baby, but slightly irritated that she was blonde. Since I’m a brunette, that made it a little less “baby so real.” lol
Dear Diary.. I LOVED this thing!! I felt like such a grown up! hah

Want to be cool in the 6th grade? Wear one of these chokers!! They were the “it” thing!!
I had them in brown!

My favorite toy of ALL!! MY mom actually kept these and gave them to me recently!!
Water Baby
The baby you filled with water!! Loved this!
Every girls CRUSH!!
Remember the end of Casper!! Casper the friendly ghost was KINDA a cutie!!
I’m pretty sure Devon Sawa was my first crush!! lol

Password Journal.
The journal that protected itself with a password that only your voice could activate. My friends who spend hours trying to mimic my secret vocal password.. I kept lots of secrets in here.. Like the twin boys at church that I thought were “soooooo cute” lol
Dream Phone, THE GAME!!
Again.. Didn’t own it, but couldn’t WAIT to play it at my friends house.. I LOVE this game!
