Hello, September!!

I welcome September with open arms!!

Especially now, living in Tennessee, I get EXTRA excited about the “ber” months!! They are when my soul comes to life. I feel the most creative, inspired, and productive during these months as we prepare to settle into the colder months. With the hustle and bustle of a new school year, and the many exciting events and holidays to come, it’s always such a fun time.

I truly love the seasons. My soul craved them back when I lived in CA, and I always hoped that I would get the chance to live somewhere that had proper seasons.

Here are a few of my favorite things during the fall months.

The changing trees, and the fall garden

Sunflowers, corn, pumpkins, greens & more!!

I get so excited about what the beauty all around me outdoors in the fall months.

We have some stunning sunflowers in the garden this year. I get excited to clip a few and bring them inside.

I’m also VERY excited about our new greenhouse!! This is gonna give us even more time in the garden!!

Pumpkin spiced everything!!

Yes, oh yes! I get so excited about all the pumpkin spiced goodies, but I especially love to make pumpkin spiced goodies at home. I look forward to LOTS of baking in the fall and winter months.

After 17 years of marriage, and every type of at home coffee experience from pour over, traditional coffee maker, keruig etc, we FINALLY got an espresso machine!! We are ecstatic about it!!

We got the pro Casa Brews machine, and we absolutely love it. It took us a few days to get everything dialed in, and I’m still practicing my espresso art, but I’m well on my way to my barista era! haha

Bringing a little bit of fall decor into the home is always so fun. I keep it minimal these days, but still have to have some!!

Here’s our new little coffee nook + adding a few little decor pieces inside and outside too

Fall makeup & style!

I love to lean into those deeper hues in the fall months!

I have this full makeup look on my YouTube Channel.

Fall Fashion

I get super excited to whip out all the fall fashion. I do mostly thrifted shopping these days as I have wasted my fair share of my money on fashion over the years. I realized I prefer switching things up on a budget, and slowing down on the fast fashion consumption.

I typically thrift for fall items in the summer. I find I get the best deals that way, and I can plan ahead.

I found these vintage FRYE vboots on Poshmark and scored them for $18. OMG! I was so stoked.. FRYE boots are pricey brand new, and I find that the vintage boots are even better made than the newer ones.

The Portland Leather mini crossbody bag in Nutmeg, Freepeople sweater and black jeans were also thrifted items. I find most of my thrifted items at local secondhand stores, ThredUp, Poshmark or Mercari.

I often find cool little rings at local farmers markets, or craft fairs from artists. I love this ring made from a vintage fork handle. It’s so cool.

The necklace was from a company called Tiny Tags. They make custom engraved necklaces. Mine says “Joy of my life - Oliver & Isaiah”

I often snag my accessories on Amazon. If I don’t like them when they come in the mail, I return them These sunnies and hair clips were keepers!!

Here in Tennessee the mornings start to get cooler and cooler, and then it warms up later in the day. I always layer in September, and even October. As we get deeper into October, the mornings get colder and colder, and the days trend cooler too. It’s a slow process, so my body adjusts pretty well to the cooler months ahead.

I truly look forward to each season for different reasons. Each season is a joy!

Hello, September! So glad to see you again!
